1st October 2015 Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: smooth rollers and chop Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: sun Max Speed: 24 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 19 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) On the water 16:15 with 144/8.5m and spent half an hour overpowered. Sea was good with smooth rollers and not too much chop so just about manageable. Chris S also out and we both changed down, me to 115/6.4. USed new boom and got clew wrong, too baggy sail hard work, much better after coming in to set right. Nice riding down swells and got most gybes in, more than last 2 days as sea much better after high than before in a NE. A couple of others came later including Nick who is progressing fast. Off the water a bit after 18:00 and sea was getting better with rollers. You can see sandy water in quite a few places as sandbanks are growing. Enjoyed that, and home to and apple crunble with blackberries picked earlier. 4* |
